AGONIZED : INDAH JAYA GRINDCORE HOOLIGANS

Agonized, a grindcore band that has been steadfast in its extreme music pursuit, traces its roots back to 2006. Here’s a dive into the band’s origin, evolution, and future plans.

The History Behind Agonized

The journey of Agonized began in late 2006, founded by Ito, who happens to be Endeng's (from Kudeta and Berserker Barrage) younger brother. The idea of forming the band emerged from casual late-night hangouts at their usual hangout spot, affectionately named ‘Court.’ This repurposed basketball court, turned DIY skatepark, became the breeding ground for their musical passion. Initially, Agonized was more of a carefree project—a space to channel their love for extreme music without taking things too seriously.

Why the Name Agonized?

When it was time to take the band seriously, the members found themselves struggling to decide on a name. One day, while listening to Rotten Corpse's Maggot Sickness cassette brought by their friend Kuyak, inspiration struck. They chose Agonized, one of the track titles, as their band's name. To this day, the name reflects the emotions that their music channels—feelings shared by many in the modern world.
